Funeral Streaming, Should We Also Stream the Visitation/Committal Services?

Should We Stream The Visitation?

This is a very common question and often the hardest to answer. Streaming visitations is typically only available when the visitation is not on the same day as the service. This is because we need to be at the service for setup 1 hour prior to service start time. When asked my opinion of streaming visitations, my first follow up question is "Will there be immediate family members unable to attend?". If the answer is Yes, perhaps this situation would benefit from also streaming the visitation. If the answer is No, then perhaps the added cost may not be of particular benefit. One thing I like to point out about streaming visitations is the audio. Most visitations have many people and many conversations. Someone viewing the streaming of a visitation will typically hear many people speaking at the same time. The camera view by default is a static view of the room and receiving line.

Should We Stream The Committal Service?

When asked about streaming the committal service after a funeral service at the cemetery, again my first follow up question is "Will there be immediate family members unable to attend?". If the answer is Yes, perhaps this situation would benefit from also streaming the committal service. If the answer is No, then perhaps the added cost may not be of particular benefit. The one caveat I would add to my opinion of committal services is if there are any additional services such as military honors. In my opinion, military honors are a powerful and memorable event.

We are always available prior to service to discuss in full detail and help arrange the best plan for live streaming and archiving of the services for your family.
